Tropical Triathalon

The Tropical Triathlon presents itself as a uniquely beautiful race for a total of 36 athletes. 2 seperate groups will compete. an open group for any age or sex (perhaps the more experienced group) and a Masters group for over 45.

There will be a total of 5 winners. 1 Woman and 1 Man from each group, and an over all winner with the best time will take home the Gold!

The swim leg is first starting with a 1/2 mile swim at the Prestine Pahoa Village Olympic size pool. Athletes bikes will be ready to go for their next 19 mile bike ride back to Kalani riding along the picturesque coastal road ("red road") through Kalapana.After bikes are dropped at Kalani, athletes will run 81/2 miles continuing down Red Road to MacKenzie State Park and back.

Again, this event has limited space so sign up Now!Race takes place Friday morning 9am-finish. Kieba's Basic Wt. training exercises for a 3x a week work out strengthen, lengthen and endure 3 sets of each starting light, increasing wt.     BikeWorks is the largest bike shop on the island, and they rent performance road bikes. They have Triathalon specific bikes as well. The road bikes will also work for the Triathalon, especially for people who have not used a triathalon bike. Should you choose to rent or purchase a bike from Bike Works for the Raw Games Triathalon, we suggest you fly in and out of Kona, or make arrangements with us and/or BikeWorks to have the bike brought to the site at Kalani, which is on the other side of the island.
